Caitlin Clark deserves a break.

The Indiana Fever rookie sensation has played 62 high-level regular season games in the past seven months. This doesn’t even include the countless practices, scrimmages, workouts, preseason games, and WNBA All-Star appearances she’s participated in.

Combine this with the extensive media obligations and time spent in the spotlight, it’s no wonder the 22-year-old remarked, “I can’t wait to not touch a basketball,” when discussing the WNBA’s month-long Olympics break during the 2024 All-Star Weekend’s media day.

However, a recent comment Clark left on her photographer’s Instagram post suggests she might be experiencing a change of heart.

Bri Lewerke, a freelance photographer closely connected to Caitlin Clark over the past year, recently shared a captivating series of Instagram photos featuring Clark and the Indiana Fever. The post was poignantly captioned, “Who else is already missing Fever basketball?”

Clark’s heartfelt response? “Me.”

Bri Lewerke replied to Clark’s comment, saying, “Only 24 days until your next game but who’s counting.”

Despite Clark’s earlier excitement about taking time off, it seems she’s already missing her time with the Fever.
