No. 1 Overall Pick Memorialized in Dairy Form

Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark is no stranger to going viral, but her latest trending moment is truly unique. The WNBA Rookie of the Year front-runner became the talk of social media after a life-size butter statue of her was unveiled at the Iowa State Fair.

This dairy tribute comes just days after Clark made headlines for her heartwarming reaction to feeding baby goats at the fair alongside some of her Fever teammates. Now, visitors to the fair are welcomed by this buttery homage to the former Hawkeyes star, honoring her rise from Iowa legend to WNBA sensation.

For the second consecutive year, the Iowa State Fair has showcased “Butter Caitlin Clark,” but the 2024 version stands out with enhanced detail and greater accuracy compared to last year’s model.

Clark, a local legend in Iowa, made a significant impact during her college career from 2020 to 2024. Over 139 games, she posted impressive averages of 28.4 points, 8.2 assists, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game.

Her accolades are numerous: she was a four-time First Team All-Big Ten selection, a three-time unanimous First Team All-American, and Big Ten Player of the Year. Additionally, she earned the titles of Associated Press Player of the Year, Naismith College Player of the Year, and Big Ten Female Athlete of the Year twice.

Clark’s dominance was further underscored by leading the NCAA in scoring and rebounding twice, and she finished her career as the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer.
