The league has seen exponential growth, so much so that the projected revenue for Indiana Fever is almost up by 889% from last year. Most of the home games are a sellout. A watershed moment in the W was when commissioner Cathy Engelbert agreed to invest almost $50 million over the next two years in providing charter flights to the WNBA teams, something that wasn’t seen before.

The league is benefiting, Clark is winning and the women’s sport as a whole is touching unprecedented heights. But a lot of fans are speculating why Clark might have turned down the ABC’s offer.

As per ABC 3340, the View’s host Sunny Hostin had made some controversial remarks about Clark in May. She had talked about “pretty privilege” and “tall privilege” which might have helped Clark. The 55-year-old spoke these words while discussing Clark’s collegiate career in which she broke numerous records including surpassing the legendary Pete Maravich as the all-time leading men’s and women’s scorer in college basketball.
