Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are continuing to spend time on opposite coasts.

The actor, 51, was spotted driving solo in Los Angeles on Friday, July 19, with his wedding band front and center while his wife is spending her summer in the Hamptons.

On Saturday, July 20, a day after Affleck was spotted in the California city, Lopez, 54, shared a cheery Instagram post with a positive message.

Alongside several smiley selfies, the actress and singer wrote, “Today is gonna be a great day 🤍🙏🏼 Happy Saturday everybody ☀️.”

The couple recently spent the Fourth of July apart, as well as their second wedding anniversary on July 16.

For the marriage milestone, Lopez was in the Hamptons on outings with Affleck’s daughter Violet, 18, and friends. Affleck, meanwhile, was once again spotted on the West Coast.

Following their second anniversary, a source shut down rumors that the pair’s problems have to do with Lopez’s status as a superstar.

“The idea that Ben thinks Jennifer is too famous and that he didn’t know what he was getting into with the attention on their marriage isn’t true,” they told PEOPLE.

“There are deeper issues,” the insider added.

Affleck and Lopez have been putting on a united front for family milestones recently, including Violet’s high school graduation in May.

The same month, the couple spent Mother’s Day apart, but Lopez marked Father’s Day by sharing a short Instagram tribute to Affleck in June.

Recently, other sources close to the couple — who rekindled their early-2000s romance before tying the knot in 2022 — have shed more light on the current state of their marriage.

In mid-May, a source told PEOPLE that their relationship was “not in the best place at the moment.”

Around the same time, another insider said the stars simply have different approaches to dealing with the spotlight, particularly what they choose to share with the public.

According to the source Lopez, “needs that expression, but Affleck simply is not comfortable with it” — and that “causes tension in the relationship.”

Elaborating on this tension, the insider said, “He is more introspective and private. She likes to open her heart to her fans and to the world. This makes them considerably different, and it has been difficult in the day-to-day relationship.”

“There have always been clashes in their styles, how they handle issues, and their actions, but nothing has stopped their love over the years,” they added.
