Kapamilya actress Bianca de Vera, 23, may have been born into an affluent family, but her life hasn’t always been easy.

Bianca revealed that although her family lives under one roof, her parents have long been separated.

“We have four floors. My dad is on the second floor, ako po sa third, and si Mommy sa fourth. Sandwich po kami.

“We live under one roof, pero my parents are no longer together,” she said.

The Kapamilya actress admitted that such a family dynamic was difficult and painful for her as a child.

“Growing up po, it was really painful for me kasi ang mindset ko noon was that sana isang bagsakan lang yung pain.

“Pero yung feeling ko kasi araw-araw nakikita yung ganong klaseng dynamic, so araw-araw rin po ako nasasaktan.”

“Sa dog kasi, parang feeling ko sila talaga yung nakakakita sa atin at our most vulnerable states—during our lowest, behind closed doors.

“Kumbaga [si Peach] was really my safe space before PBB.”

Sadly, Peach passed away while Bianca was inside the PBB house.

At that time, Big Brother allowed her to temporarily step out to say her final goodbye.

Bianca said: “Thankful ako kay Kuya kasi pinayagan niya po akong lumabas ng bahay to see her for one last time.

“And nung time na yon, nakita ko rin po yung parents ko together in one room, hugging, all three of us hugging for the first time in many, many years.

“So ayun, thankful rin ako kay Peach because in a way that was the moment I had been longing for, for a very, very long time.”

Bianca still in the process of healing

Asked if she has fully moved on from the loss, Bianca admitted she’s still in the process of healing.

The actress said: “I wouldn’t say na I’m completely okay, especially na nakabalik na ako sa house.

“Tapos siyempre, nakikita ko na ngayon yung mga corners ng room ko wherein she used to fill in.”

She added: “There will be times na madadapa ka, masasugatan ka, pero talagang you have to get back up and heal again and again and again.

PBB and her newfound family

Bianca, on the other hand, also credited her PBB journey and her co-housemates for helping her heal and rediscover happiness.

“I wasn’t acting. Talagang I was Bianca.

“And then habang tumatagal, I started gaining weight, I looked happier, and hanggang sa paglabas ko, talagang I’m happy.

“Ngayon, gusto ko na lang bumagal yung mundo ko. I think it’s the growth from PBB.”

Being an only child, Bianca said she felt blessed to have found siblings in her 19 PBB co-housemates.

“As an only child, sobrang nakakataba ng puso na nakahanap ako ng 19 other siblings. Paglabas po namin, the love we have for each other is truly unconditional.”

Meanwhile, at the end of the interview, Bianca admitted that she’s slowly learning to accept their unconventional family setup.

She also left a heartfelt message for those who might be going through the same family struggles.

Her message: “Take it slow. Huwag ninyong i-compare yung pacing ninyo sa iba na feeling ninyo mas mabilis sila.

“Because we all have a different pacing in life. You’ll get there. Be patient with yourself.”
