Zubimendi, the Spanish midfielder, is wanted by several top clubs in Europe. Despite being linked on multiple occasions with a move to Barcelona, the Catalan club’s financial problems have made the deal impossible. Last summer, Liverpool also attempted to sign him, but Zubimendi chose to remain at Real Sociedad.
However, given the difficult times Real Sociedad is going through, this season could be Zubimendi’s last at Anoeta. Real Madrid is closely monitoring his situation, as the player could help address the midfield problems at the Santiago Bernabéu. Zubimendi is currently one of the best players in his position, making him an attractive option to strengthen Madrid’s midfield.
