Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift became romantically involved last year

Travis Kelce’s mom has spoken out about her son’s relationship with Taylor Swift, and it’s safe to say she’s pretty happy about it.

The singer and NFL star are undoubtedly the biggest celebrity couple on the planet right now.

According to Kelce, the pair met when Swift performed in his home stadium in Arrowhead, Kansas City – and the rest is history.

From Super Bowl success to the ‘Blank Space’ singer being booed at the NFL and Kelce living every Swiftie’s dream by appearing multiple times at Swift’s Era Tours, it’s been an eventful year for the two.

And despite the intense media focus on their blossoming relationship, many would argue that Kelce and Swift look extremely happy together.

And Kelce’s mom has certainly given it her stamp of approval.

Page Six caught up with Donna Kelce at the premiere of Grotesquerie in New York City.

The horror fiction series features Kelce, and is set to release on FX in the US on Wednesday (September 25).

Donna told the outlet that she finds her son’s relationship with Swift ‘kind of interesting’.

She added: “He’s a good guy. He really is. He’s good. He’s kind. He’s generous. And from what I understand, so is she.

“I hope they’re having a good time.”

Donna also spoke of how proud she was to see her son in action in Ryan Murphy’s ten-part series, which follows a detective (Niecy Nash) working with a nun (Lesley Manville) to solve a number of horrific crimes.

She said: “Oh, it’s so awesome. Just to be able to see your kids do what they absolutely love to do, and hopefully this is something he likes! I know he wanted to try [acting], so we’ll see how it goes.”

As per the outlet, she added that she’d ‘always told’ her kids: “If you do something you love to do, you will get really good at it.”

Donna is also the mother of football star, Jason Kelce, with the brothers coming head to head at Super Bowl LVII as Travis’ Chiefs beat Jason’s Eagles.

While Donna’s mind was understandably split on that day in February 2023, she’s incredibly proud of her boys.

Speaking of her son’s careers, she said: “It’s just been taking off. I just can’t believe what’s happened over the last couple years.”

Donna went on to say it was a ‘whirlwind’ to see both of her sons playing in the Super Bowl.

In fact, everything changed when ‘both teams got good enough to play each other in the Super Bowl’, she said.
