It took the previous album, “Music To Be Murdered By”, released without notice in mid-January 2020, 10 weeks to earn the same amount of streams. Of course, a better promo campaign and the expanding Spotify audience have both contributed to the increased pace with which “The Death of Slim Shady” gets recognition. However, it is also a testimony to Eminem’s strength as an artist who can hold the audience in the palm of his hand, fascinated and interested in his music.

Because even in the sea of new artists and new listeners, Em’s latest album is outstanding. It has debuted as the strongest rap project of the year so far and the fourth most successful album across all genres. A month after the release, the album’s position remains unchallenged.
