Two of Hollywood’s most iconic actors appeared to have a fun and flirty moment during a star-studded event, sparking rumors and drawing all eyes to their playful exchange.
Actors Kevin Costner and Sharon Stone were the talk of the town after their “openly flirty” interaction at the 2024 Governors Awards held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, November 17. Both recently single, Costner, 69, and Stone, 66, reportedly enjoyed each other’s company in what sources described as a lighthearted and charming exchange.
“They started off polite with small talk, then he put on his Kevin Costner charm, you know, like the vibes he gave off in Bull Durham and Tin Cup, like heyyyy baby,” a witness told DailyMail.com.
“Who knows if they went home together or even exchanged numbers, but it certainly looked like they liked each other a lot,” the source added. Another observer noted, “Sharon is such a class act. She handled it very well and was cute. She winked at him and was sweet.”
The playful moment between the two Hollywood legends comes just months after Stone publicly defended Costner amid his turbulent divorce from Christine Baumgartner. Stone drew on her own messy split from journalist Phil Bronstein to comment on the extravagant child support demands in Costner’s case.
Christine had initially asked for $175,000 a month in child support, later adjusting her request to $160,000, citing the luxury lifestyle their children were accustomed to.
During the couple’s court battle, Christine painted a picture of the lavish life their children enjoyed, one which Stone appeared to find amusing. In response to Christine’s demand, Stone commented on Instagram, “My ex thought the same,” adding a laughing emoji.
Sharon Stone and Phil Bronstein married in 1998, adopted their son Roan in 2000, and divorced in 2004. Bronstein won custody of Roan in 2008.
Costner and Baumgartner, meanwhile, tied the knot in 2004 and share three children: sons Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and 13-year-old daughter Grace. Christine filed for divorce in May 2023, leading to their ongoing court battles.
While it’s unclear whether Costner and Stone exchanged numbers or took their flirtation any further, their interaction at the Governors Awards certainly provided some surprising and delightful Hollywood gossip. One thing is for sure: both actors still know how to charm an audience.
