Juan Soto’s free agency had several twists and turns, with multiple rumors about various teams edging closer to signing the star slugger. The New York Mets and the New York Yankees remain heavy favorites, but teams like the Boston Red Sox and the Toronto Blue Jays were also behind Soto.
Soto and his client, Scott Boras, met with every team that was interested in extending him an offer. After a long wait, MLB fans can finally put their thoughts to rest as Juan Soto is nearing the end of his free-agency saga.
Soto’s agent, Scott Boras, said that the slugger has already begun the process of eliminating teams. While there is no exact date, the All-Star is expected to make a decision by the end of this week.
“When you go through these things, you just have a lot of information to meld through. He’s begun the process of eliminating teams and doing things. Juan is a very methodical thinker, so we’ll see. I don’t think anything is imminent in the near future,” Boras said during Blake Snell’s introductory news conference via ESPN.
Juan Soto Is Highly Predicted To Sign With The Mets Or The Yankees
Juan Soto has started eliminating teams, and it is predicted that he could shift his focus from the Blue Jays and the Red Sox. Experts believe that the slugger will either lean towards the Mets or the Yankees.

Scott Boras plays a crucial role in the negotiation process, but teams have already given their best. The Mets offered Soto their best deal, and so did the Yanks. The Bronx Bombers have even upgraded their offer.
Soto is expected to arrive at a decision pretty soon. The talented slugger is in great demand but will most likely sign a long-term deal with a team. His chemistry with Aaron Judge and other Yankees stars is evident. Since he played in the Bronx, Soto might slightly favor one of the most famous franchises in MLB.
It’s time to wait as the decision lies in Soto’s hands, and no other teams have come forward with offers. According to the Yankees, they have done everything possible to retain Juan Soto.
