In an Instagram post, the American singer-songwriter said she was deeply saddened to have to cancel her shows in Vienna.

“The reason for the cancellation has given me a new sense of fear and guilt because so many people were planning to come to these shows,” she shared.

However, Taylor also stressed that her priority was to complete her European tour safely and that she was truly relieved to have done so.

The singer also thanked Swifties – her fans – for their “love and solidarity”.

Taylor also expressed gratitude to the authorities for promptly detecting and stopping the terrorist plot.

Earlier, police in Vienna said they had arrested three suspects in connection with the threat.

According to the head of Austria’s domestic intelligence service (DSN) Omar Haijawi-Pirchner, the main suspect is a 19-year-old Austrian of North Macedonian origin who confessed to “intending to carry out an attack with explosives and a knife” at a Taylor Swift concert.
