A Tour of Connor McDavid and Lauren’s Edmonton Home
Hello everyone, I’m Connor McDavid, and this is my girlfriend Lauren. Welcome to our home in Edmonton. Come on in and let’s take a tour!
Here we have our beloved king of the household, Leonard. He definitely rules this place, and life here is anything but boring.
This area used to be my formal working space, but about a year ago, I transitioned to a new office, and this space became Lauren’s. It’s wonderful to see her thrive and grow her company, Digest Book.
When we have guests over, everyone gathers around this couch. It’s great for socializing and can fit a large number of people. Our TV is concealed behind steel panels, which you can slide open when you want to watch and close when you don’t need it. I love how these panels have developed a unique patina that complements our decor.
Moving on to the dining room, we have a large table that’s perfect for family dinners and gatherings. It’s one of our favorite spaces to host people.
One of my favorite features of the house is this hidden bar. Just pull this panel back, and you’ll find a well-stocked bar hidden behind it.
Our kitchen, while modern, has a bit too much island space, which we discussed. It’s a fantastic area for cooking and hanging out. Lauren is a great cook and even has a cookbook in the works. We chose a black-and-white palette with earthy tones to create a sophisticated and cozy atmosphere.
Outside, the space is a bit chilly right now, but it’s great for enjoying the neighborhood and the indoor-outdoor feel. Leonard loves lounging here, especially in his snow bed.
The patio is one of my favorite parts of the house. It’s perfect for relaxing and unwinding, although sometimes I wish the TV wasn’t so hidden.
The sports court is probably my favorite feature. It’s a great place to stay active during the winter. We’ve had some good games of 21 and even tried out the bowling pads here.
The stairs were a bit of an afterthought, but they fold up nicely. Safety is a consideration, but they work for us.
Upstairs, there’s a cozy lounge area with a fireplace and a TV that drops down from the ceiling. We enjoy spending time here, especially when it’s cold outside.
The bathroom is spacious, and the big tub is perfect for relaxing after a long day. We’re considering adding a door to the TV setup, which currently involves a bit of a workaround.
Finally, the patio, which we use almost every day, features a barbecue and an infrared sauna. Lauren’s family has a bit of Finnish heritage, and they introduced us to the joys of sauna. It’s now one of my must-have features.
That’s a wrap on our home tour. Thanks for joining us!
