On Taylor Swift’s second run of five shows at London’s Wembley Stadium, she brought out Ed Sheeran. The two performed their songs ‘Everything Has Changed’ and ‘End Game’ as well as Ed’s song ‘Thinking Out Loud’
Taylor Swift had a special surprise for her second run at London’s Wembley Stadium.
The singer returned to London for her second round of shows for The Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium from August 15, 16, 17, 19 and 20. On the first night of the five shows, August 15, Ed Sheeran came out to the stage as Taylor told the crowd, she had “just been trying to chill out the whole rest of the night.”
It was during the surprise songs portion of the concert where the British performer was introduced. Taylor welcomed him to the stage by calling him “like a second brother.”
“Now he is someone that plays Wembley like every week. This is regular for him and he works so hard. He’s probably so tired but he wanted to come play for you and do this for all of you,” Taylor added about Ed.
The crowd screamed with excitement at the surprise. Taylor and Ed performed acoustically their collaborations Everything Has Changed and End Game as well as Ed’s hit track Thinking Out Loud.
This is the first time the long-time friends have performed together on stage in several years. But they’ve still have worked together recently. Their most recent track together was the remix of The Joker and the Queen from Ed’s fifth studio album in February 2022.
He also did the re-recording of Taylor’s Version of Everything Has Changed from 2013’s Red. The Shape of You singer is expected to be on the highly-awaited Reputation (Taylor’s Version) for their song End Games. There has been no announcement for when that album will come out.
It also the first time she’s been back in London since the tragic stabbing in Southport, England that took the lives of three little girls and injured ten people. The stabbing occurred at a yoga/dance class that was themed after Taylor.
The last show, August 20, at the England’s capital means the end the European leg of the Eras Tour. She will continue the tour back again in October to play five more cities in North America. The last day of the Eras Tour is on December 8, 2024.
