A few seasons back, Jonathan Toews, the long-time captain of the Chicago Blackhawks, stepped away from the game.

However, his bond with the team and the city remains strong.

Toews led Chicago to three Stanley Cup victories in 2010, 2013, and 2015 alongside Patrick Kane.

Recently, he appeared at an R33M Foundation event, where he signed autographs and took photos, which quickly sold out.

During the event, a fan shared a heartfelt moment with Toews, expressing how much the community misses him. Toews warmly replied that he misses everyone too.

«.@JonathanToews is and always will be one of the good ones… I told him how we miss him and he said, “And I miss all of you.”
When asked if he wanted a #TeamMurray band he said, “For sure! Most definitely! He’s in my thoughts.” He stuck his hand out for me to place on his wrist.»

Toews continues to be cherished by Blackhawks fans, both for his past on the ice and his lasting fan base, ‘captain serious’.
