Elon Musk’s children were allegedly due to travel to Canada to see their great grandmother

Grimes' mom claims Elon Musk withheld his kids' passports to keep them away from family

Grimes’ mom has claimed that Elon Musk has ‘withheld’ passports belonging to the three children he shares with the singer, shortly before they were due to take a trip.

Musk, 53 and Grimes, 36, have long been embroiled in a custody battle over their three children, the status of which is currently unknown.

The pair first started dating back in May 2018 and welcomed their first child together, son X Æ A-12 in May 2020.

They then went on to have two more children, via surrogate – a baby girl called Exa Dark Siderael and later, a boy named Techno Mechanicus.

The pair have since split, but fast-forward to this week and Grimes’ mother has publicly criticised Musk for allegedly withholding the kids from their mom.

Apparently, the family were supposed to take a trip to Canada, but Musk is accused of ‘withholding’ their passports.

Sandy Garossino tweeted Musk on X, explaining that her mother – the kids’ great-grandmother – ‘yearns to see and hold’ the children ‘one last time’, claiming that she hasn’t even met one of them yet.

Apparently, the children were set to visit her in Canada but the trip had allegedly been canceled.

“She was thrilled for the kids’ planned visit to celebrate her birthday this weekend. Today. But those hopes were crushed when the trip was canceled,” said Garossino.

“I am alarmed to learn that the children cannot come as you are withholding them and their needed passport documents from Claire,” she added, referring to Grimes’ given name.

“Where are the other children, and with whom? They are scheduled to be with their mother. They were expected here in Canada.”

Garossino pleaded with Musk to return the kids, adding: “I write with a grandmother’s plea, asking you to honour your agreement, return the children, and provide the documents they need to see their great grandmother before she passes.

“Please Elon, I beg you. This is so painful for my mother, and concerning for the kids. Time is of the essence now.”

UNILAD has reached out to reps for Grimes and Musk for comment.

Amid the messages on X, Musk’s daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson accused her dad of ‘illegally keeping’ the kids from their mom.

“As you may or may not know, Grimes is currently in a custody battle with Elon over their 3 children,” she said.

“What you probably don’t know, however, is that Elon has been illegally and continuously keeping their children, her children, away from their mother during the most important developmental period in a child’s life.

“While Elon has been irresponsibly partying across the ocean in the very country he’s spitting contemptuous poison about, Grimes’ children are stuck in a house thousands of miles away without their mother.

“This is potentially irreversibly damaging to a child’s psyche and is, without question, a despicable form of abuse. This is not the first time this has happened and if nothing changes, likely not the last.”

Grimes sues Elon Musk over their 3 children after claiming she wasn't allowed to see her son

Grimes sues Elon Musk over their 3 children after claiming she wasn’t allowed to see her son

The singer reportedly filed a petition to ‘establish parental rights’ just weeks after begging Musk to let her see her young son

Grimes is reportedly suing her billionaire ex-partner Elon Musk over parental rights of their three children.

The pair share children X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl and Techno Mechanicus.

And last week, the singer – whose real name is Claire Boucher – reportedly filed a petition at a California court to ‘establish parental relationship’ — a way of identifying a child’s legal parents when they are unmarried.

These filings are not available for public viewing.

Family attorney, Deborah Dubroff, said the petition amounts to a lawsuit and is typically filed alongside requests for child support or custody rights, The San Francisco Standard reports.

The singer filed a petition to 'establish parental rights' last week.

“Most of the time, the driving force is that they need custody orders or child support, but the petition is to establish parentage of the child,” Dubroff said.

Grimes is yet to request child support or custody rights, the outlet reports.

Musk also has yet to respond to the petition.

UNILAD has contacted Grimes and Musk’s representatives for comment.

The petition comes just weeks after the singer issued a public plea to Musk, begging him to let her see their toddler son.

In a since-deleted tweet to Walter Issacson, who’s shared a picture of Musk with his twins that he shares with Shivon Zilis, Grimes said: “Tell Shivon to unblock me and tell Elon to let me see my son or plz respond to my lawyer.

“I have never even been allowed to see a photo of these children until this moment, despite the situation utterly ripping my family apart.”

Grimes then later posted a follow-up statement which said: “I spoke with Shivon at length finally, which was long overdue. This wasn’t her fault, plz don’t be angry at her!

“We respect each other a lot and we’re excited to become friends and have the kids grow up together.”

The petition comes weeks after she begged Musk to let her see her son.

Adding: “Communication about the twins wasn’t handled super well in the past, but I now totally understand what happened and totally forgive the situation.

“Women are so often pitted against each other. Speaking with Shivon, it’s very evident she’s an amazing human and we both just want what’s best for our kids.”

Musk has 10 children, as along with his children with Grimes, he shares twins Griffin and Vivian Musk, 18, and triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian Musk, 16 with his first wife, Justine Wilson.

He also shares 17-month-old twins Azure and Strider with Zilis.

Earlier this week, it was announced that a 22-year-old college graduate is suing Musk for defamation after he retweeted far-right Twitter accounts that claiming that he was involved in a ‘false flag’ operation.

UNILAD has previously reached out to X and Musk’s representatives for comment.

Elon Musk uses unique two-hands test to hire SpaceX employees

Elon Musk uses unique two-hands test to hire SpaceX employees

The technique is brilliantly simple and uses a two-part strategy

Despite some of the biggest jobs in tech requiring college degrees, Elon Musk has always advocated for skills over education.

In fact, he once warned not to ‘confuse schooling with education’, explaining: “I didn’t go to Harvard but the people that work for me did.”

With Musk attracting top talent for the likes of Tesla and SpaceX, many wonder if he has some sort of strategy when it comes to hiring.

Well, turns out that businessman uses what he calls a ‘two-hand’ strategy – and it’s brilliantly simple.

The ‘two hands’ strategy is basically split into two parts:

First-hand experience

It’s no surprise that Musk would value experience over education. In fact, he’s said in the past: “I think college is basically for fun and to prove that you can do your chores, but they’re not for learning.”

Therefore, the first step is assessing the candidate’s experience rather than how many hours they’ve spent studying for a degree.

The approach focuses more on whether the candidate has the skills and knowledge to be competent in the role, rather than honing in too much on how many academic accolades they have.

Hands-on testing

The second part of the strategy is known as ‘hands-on testing’ and essentially refers to the interview process.

Interviewing candidates in the traditional way – and basically assessing their knowledge – might not be as effective as giving them a task that resembles the kind of responsibilities the person might have in the role.

Rather than relaying information in an interview, this helps hiring managers understand how the person would perform day-to-day.

It also allows the process to be a little more efficient, instead of repeating several interviews to test a candidate’s knowledge.

Musk previously used a sneaky tactic to discover which one of his Tesla employees had been leaking information.

A leak of confidential information took place in 2008, five years after the company was first founded.

One curious X user asked Musk for more information about the leak in a post on X in 2022, when he tagged the founder and wrote: “Elon in 2008 how did you catch that employee who leaked the confidential data of Tesla and sold it to the news outlet?”

Musk replied to describe it as an ‘interesting story’, before revealing the method his team used to figure out who was responsible for sharing the information.

He explained: “We sent what appeared to be identical emails to all, but each was actually coded with either one or two spaces between sentences, forming a binary signature that identified the leaker.”

By identifying the same signature in the information that had been leaked, Musk was able to track down the employee responsible.

Tesla has extremely complex hiring process including answering very tricky question from Elon Musk

Tesla has extremely complex hiring process including answering very tricky question from Elon Musk

Some job roles at Tesla are said to come with a pretty gruelling interview process

I think we all know that tech jobs are where it’s at.

From data scientists and software developers, to computer systems analysts and web developers; thousands of people across the US are fighting for jobs in the well-paid sector.

It’s said that data analysts are one of the hardest jobs to land a role in, while landing an internship as a corporation software engineer might be a little bit easier to come by.

Whether it’s Apple or Microsoft you’re trying to get a job at, each tech giant will have it’s own hiring process – and Tesla has been found to be one company to have the hardest interview procedures.

Headed by Elon Musk – one of the richest men on the planet – it’s understandable that millions of people apply for jobs at the car manufacturer each year.

In fact, according to data analyzed by Resume.io, a whopping 5.9 million people applied for a job at Tesla in 2023 alone.

With this in mind, it’s understandable that Musk’s company has to make things a little harder for applicants, so it can ensure that it’s getting the right person for the job.

And Musk apparently has a favorite question he apparently likes to ask candidates, that question being: “You’re standing on the surface of the Earth. You walk one mile south, one mile west, and one mile north. You end up exactly where you started. Where are you?”

For anyone left scratching their heads like me, it turns out the correct answer is the North Pole.

Away from brain-scrambling questions, some Tesla candidates could be faced with as many as nine interviews.

According to Resume.io Tesla’s hiring process for engineers can require as many as nine interviews, a series of tests, and, in some cases, a letter to Musk himself.

Tesla’s team may also invite you to do a presentation and a series of rapid-fire interviews that can last four to six hours in the hot seat. Yikes.

With its gruelling process in mind, Amanda Augustine, Resume.io’s resident career expert has offered some advice on how to smash interviews at tech firms like Tesla.

“Reach out to people in your network who currently or previously worked for the company and check out employer-review sites like Glassdoor to gather insights into the company’s interview process so you know what to expect,” she said.

“Carefully review the job description to determine which skills and traits are most important for performing this role so you can brush up on those skills, if necessary, and brainstorm some examples of how you’ve leveraged those skills in the past to add value to a previous project or team.”

Amanda went on: “If you’re interviewing for a technical role at a major tech company, expect the interview process to include some sort of programming challenge or coding test to screen your technical skills.

“If you learn that the company uses a particular online skill assessment or virtual interview platform, check out the site and see if it’s possible to test out the software or take a sample test so you can familiarize yourself with it ahead of time.

“If you’re like many job seekers out there who find interviewing to be daunting, your best bet is to practice putting yourself on the spot so you’re more comfortable when it counts.”

Good luck out there, folks!

Grimes and Elon Musk's toddler had a three-day 'PTSD meltdown' when a SpaceX rocket exploded

Grimes and Elon Musk’s toddler had a three-day ‘PTSD meltdown’ when a SpaceX rocket exploded

The singer and mother to X Æ A-12 has revealed the three-year-old is already obsessed with space.

Grimes says the son she shares with Elon Musk had a ‘three day PTSD meltdown’ after watching a SpaceX rocket explode.

The singer shares her two children – 19-month-old daughter Exa Dark Sideræl, who goes by Y, and 3-year-old son X Æ A-12 – with the tech billionaire.

This week she has spoken to Wired magazine about co-parenting with the CEO of X.

The Canadian musician – whose real name is Claire Elise Bouchertold – told the publication her toddler son is following in his famous father’s footsteps and is already obsessed with space.

“X knows a lot about rockets. It’s crazy,” she told Wired. “He knows more about rockets than me.”

She continued: “We had to stop giving him toys, because if they’re not anatomically correct, he gets upset.

“He’s a little engineer, for sure. But his obsession with space is bordering on, ‘Is this healthy?'”

Musk has been photographed taking X along to meetings and even rocket launches.

The 35-year-old said her son didn’t cope well after witnessing the SpaceX rocket that exploded in April this year.

“When X saw Starship blow up, he had, like, a three-day PTSD meltdown,” she said.

“Every hour, he was waking up and going, ‘Starship…’ and I had to rub his back.”

Meanwhile, daughter Y is also shaping up to be a ‘little engineer’.

“Yeah, she’s a little engineer too. She likes industrial shipping. She’s very strange,” she said.

Grimes also told the publication she’s on good terms with Musk, who she dated publicly from 2018 until 2021.

“I try to soften him up, to build family culture,” Grimes said. “And he steals a lot of my memes.”

She also her time with Musk was the ‘best internship ever’.

“That’s a master class in leadership and engineering and makes you understand how rare it is to have a leader of that quality,” she said.

Last year, she told Vanity Fair their relationship is ‘fluid’.

“There’s no real word for it,” she explained.

“I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid.

“We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time…. We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it.”

She continued: “This is the best it’s ever been… We just need to be free.”
