Boston Bruins winger Brad Marchand and goaltender Jeremy Swayman are good friends on and off the ice. For Halloween, the two NHL stars donned Italian mafia-inspired outfits, along with their partners, Alessandra Marie and Katrina Marchand.

On Sunday, Jeremy Swayman posted a group photo on Instagram, posing with his girlfriend Marie, alongside Marchand and his wife. His caption, written in Italian, read:

“LA FAMIGLIA.”

The caption translates to “the family” in English.

Brad Barchand wore a white jacket, a gold necklace and yellow-tinted sunglasses. Katrina sported an animal print outfit with a fur coat while styling her hair in a voluminous gashion.

Jeremy Swayman opted for a black jacket, brown-tinted sunglasses and gold jewelry, including a chain necklace. His girlfriend Alessandra Marie dressed in a dark fur coat and knee-high black boots, also sporting a voluminous Italian hairstyle.

Marie shared more pictures and clips on her Instagram stories, showcasing their Halloween looks. In one of the clips, Swayman embraced the mafia theme by using props like stacks of fake cash and a toy gun.

A long-standing joke within the hockey community is that Marie has ties to the Italian mafia. She humorously addressed this in one of the pictures, writing:

“@jswayman1 mafia gf”

In a short clip, Swayman is seen loading 100 euro bills while in the back seat of his car while Marie filmed him. In another shot, the Bruins goalie held a stack of cash with a cigar in his mouth as he relaxed in his car.

Jeremy Swayman honors Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau’s memory

Earlier this month, Jeremy Swayman honored the late Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew with an emotional tribute. During the press conference celebrating his new eight-year $66 million contract with the Bruins, Swayman took a moment to express his condolences to the Gaudreau family.

“I had a lot of ties indirectly with Johnny Gaudreau. I think this is a great platform for me and my family and obviously this organization to send our condolences to that family and Johnny and Matthew,” Swayman told reporters.

Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau died in a car accident in Oldmans Township, New Jersey, on Aug. 29. Swayman, who shares an agent with Gaudreau, spoke about the legacy Johnny left behind.

“I hope that his family feels the support endlessly from my family, obviously me and the entire hockey world. To see the amount of outreach and love he got. It just goes to show what kind of impact he had on our world and for the game of hockey. So, I just really wanted to get that across. We miss him a lot,” he said.

The Bruins organization also honored Gaudreau, holding a moment of silence before one of their preseason games.
