LeBron James and Michael Jordan are at the top of the discussion regarding the GOAT debate in the NBA. Following recent developments regarding the Lakers forward, one popular streamer seems to have switched sides.

Live on “Kick,” Adin Ross said he is selling a $500,000 AP watch that he knows LeBron also owns. He explained why he’s doing it.

“I’ll just tell you guys the truth. I’m selling this piece because LeBron has this piece and Drake unfollowed Bron,” Ross said (via FearBuck). “There, that’s the reason why I’m doing it. I don’t care. Michael Jordan’s better.”

James is gearing up for his 22nd season in the NBA. Coming off an MVP performance in the Olympics, the superstar forward will attempt to lead the charge for the Lakers.

Drake’s move to unfollow James likely stems from his rap feud over the summer. Despite being good friends with the Toronto Raptors superfan in the past, LeBron seemed to be siding with Kendrick Lamar in the beef. James was seen singing Lamar’s diss tracks on Drake and even attended one of Lamar’s concerts in June.

LeBron James not expected to play for LA Lakers in preseason opener

The LA Lakers will begin their preseason schedule on Friday night with a matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves. They will be shorthanded in this game, as reports surfaced that LeBron James will not be in action. However, he is expected to return at some point.

Seeing that it was a long summer for LeBron, it is not shocking he won’t be available in the Lakers’ preseason opener. He isn’t far removed from competing for Team USA in the Olympics, and LA has to keep the long view in mind with the aging star. Overexerting him now could completely derail the 2025 season for them.

Getting reps in the preseason isn’t as crucial for a player like James at this stage in his career. Especially considering he was playing in highly competitive games only two months ago. Even if he doesn’t play in every preseason matchup, LeBron will surely be ready to go come opening night in three weeks.

LeBron’s absence could benefit JJ Redick as he continues to build a rotation for the regular season.
