Elon Musk has supported JK Rowling’s views in the transgender discussion after the author made headlines for her latest take.
The Harry Potter author’s stance on the debate has been hitting the news for years, with the 58-year-old facing constant backlash amid claims she is “transphobic”.
In a recent social media interaction on the discussion, Rowling suggested allowing children to go through puberty rather than allow access to blockers for young people with gender dysphoria.
Reposting an article about the online chat, X owner Musk, 53, penned in view of his 190million followers: “Well, @jk_rowling is absolutely right!
“Almost every child goes through some kind of identity crisis during puberty. It is deeply wrong to make them permanently infertile with ‘puberty blockers.’
“If they still wish to transition as adults, provided they are fully informed of the risks, they can then make decisions as consenting adults.”
The article highlighted how Rowling had posted a TalkTV clip featuring Labour culture secretary Lisa Nandy, who defended the ban on private puberty blocker prescriptions.
The writer penned of the debate: “The times they are a-changin'”.
Responding to some backlash in her comments, she went on to write: “The vast majority of children grow out of gender dysphoria if allowed to go through puberty. The single best cure is letting nature take its course.”
It seems billionaire Musk is in agreement with Rowling, who has made her feelings on the issue clear despite being hounded by those who disagree with her.

Despite her passionate views on gender identity, Rowling has strongly denied accusations of transphobia.
Opening up on her opinions, Rowling recently penned a new essay which will feature in The Women Who Wouldn’t Wheesht, an upcoming book on Scotland’s women’s rights battle.
Rowling writes in the essay that the transgender debate is “the greatest assault of my lifetime” on women’s rights.
In an extract published in The Times in May, Rowling argues that she chose to speak up on the issue because she would have “felt ashamed for the rest of my days if I hadn’t”.
She goes on to say: “I’d come to believe that the socio-political movement insisting ‘trans women are women’ was neither kind nor tolerant, but in fact profoundly misogynistic, regressive, dangerous in some of its objectives and nakedly authoritarian in its tactics.”
The writer confessed she neglected to voice her concerns sooner because “people around me, including some I love, were begging me not to speak”.
“I believe that what is being done to troubled young people in the name of gender identity ideology is, indeed, a terrible medical scandal,” she continued.
