Eminem fans believe a chilling lyric in his song Fuel is a reference to Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs, after the musician was charged with racketeering and sex trafficking last week
Eminem has received widespread accolades from his followers for a particularly provocative line in his track Fuel, after it made waves online. The fans praised the rapper’s clever play on words regarding Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs, especially in light of his recent arrest.
Sean Combs, 54, better known as P Diddy, faces serious charges comprising sex trafficking among other offenses. Last week saw Combs detained in New York; with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and prostitution-related charges brought against him, he was refused bail.
He vehemently denies all charges, maintaining his innocence. Following Combs’ apprehension, portions of Eminem’s track were highlighted across social networks. Instagrammer Candice Bruno posted a video capturing her reaction to Fuel, which dropped in July.
Eminem’s verse contains the lines: “I’m like a R-A-P-E-R (yeah), Got so many S-As (S-As), S-As (huh), Wait, he didn’t just spell the word, ‘Rapper’ and leave out a P, did he? (Yep),” reports the Mirror.
The fan base theorizes that Eminem cunningly morphs “essay” into “SA” an acronym frequently used online for sexual assault. Moreover, some caught on that dropping a P from “rapper” gives you “raper”. They also noted that “P, did he? ” resonates remarkably like “P. Diddy.”
Although Combs hasn’t been accused of sexual assault or rape, the conjecture surrounding these lyrics has attracted over one million views since being shared on Instagram yesterday. A commenter exclaimed: “I think he is a lyrical genius.”
Rumors have been swirling for about 10 months regarding P. Diddy’s past, particularly since allegations went public. The hip-hop mogul was arrested on September 16 and, come the next morning, the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York dropped a bombshell with a 14-page indictment outlining an ongoing probe into the troubled star.
An officer who was privy to the details of the so-called sex dens, which were full of bondage kit and spy cams, where the infamous ‘Diddy tapes’ were supposedly filmed, slammed the shamed rapper as “as bad as Jeffrey Epstein”.
Recent reports suggested that these romps involved “either barely legal, or barely illegal women” and took place in rooms of his Miami mansion, complete with all-round filming equipment. Allegations are flying that Diddy’s freak offs, sometimes stretching over days, involved victims under the influence being coerced to have sex with male escorts.
