WNBA rookies Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese have ascended to such fame that their every move sparks conversation. As the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky stars enjoy some downtime during the league’s Olympic break, social media offers fans a glimpse into their activities and adventures.

Clark is fully embracing her vow to take a break from basketball, as seen in photos shared from her trip to Mexico with Fever teammate Lexie Hull. Katie Lou Samuelson, another team member, appears to be with them, as evidenced by her Instagram story. They’ve dubbed themselves “mermaids” while enjoying the water. With the Fever’s next game not until August 16th, they’ve got plenty of time to channel their inner Ariel.

Meanwhile, Reese is staying closer to the basketball scene. She was spotted with NBA stars Kevin Durant and Steph Curry watching the USA Women’s Basketball team play against Germany in London. Reese has since traveled to Paris, the site of the Olympics, sharing photos from Disneyland Paris and enjoying some shopping in the city. Despite some issues with her luggage, it looks like “Barbie” is fully enjoying her overseas adventure.

It will be a while before we see these two merchandise movers back in uniform. However, the rookies have certainly earned a much-needed break, especially after an All-Star Game that set new WNBA viewership records—an impressive trend this season.
