It hasn’t been long since LeBron James’ Team USA beat France for the gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics. The NBA star still hasn’t gotten over what Steph Curry did in the final to secure the win. James showered love on the Golden State Warriors star on social media.

Curry finished the game with 24 points and proved to be the most threatening shooter from beyond the arc with eight 3-pointers. France couldn’t stop the star guard as he hit his famous “Night Night” celebration.

James continues to rave about teaming up with Curry and his iconic celebration and took to Instagram Stories to give his teammate a shoutout:

James raves about Curry's celebration

Fans have waited for James and Curry to team up for quite some time. Although they’ve played together during All-Star games before, watching them suit up for Team USA hit home. Both stars were fixated on winning the gold and asserting their dominance on the global stage.

James is in the twilight phase of his career, and Curry is not exactly a youngster at 36 as well. This could very well have been the last time they played together for their nation.

LeBron James and Curry uncertain for 2028 Olympics

The 2028 Olympic Games will take place in Los Angeles, and basketball is sure to be the biggest attraction. Fans have already started the countdown to the sporting event, but it is too early to speculate about the composition of Team USA.

James has spoken his mind on the 2028 Games, and fans should prepare themselves to see the national team walk out onto the court without the four-time champion.

“Nah, I can’t see myself playing in Los Angeles 2028,” James said. “I didn’t see myself playing in Paris 2024, too. But four years from now, I can’t see it.”

It’s also unlikely that fans will see Curry suit up as well.

“This might not come around again,” Curry said.

Kevin Durant, on the other hand, hasn’t completely shut the possibility of a return to the Olympics. When asked about his plans for 2028, he simply said, “We’ll see.”
