Bronny James left a cheeky comment under Parker Whitfield's Instagram post

Bronny James isn’t afraid to let the world know how he feels about rumored girlfriend Parker Whitfield.

Taking to Instagram, James left a flirtatious comment on a post from Whitfield’s account, which is private. The Los Angeles Lakers rookie wrote under a collection of solo shots, “She’s so pretty,” seemingly confirming the two are in fact a couple.

Rumors suggesting a possible romantic relationship between James and Whitfield first gained steam earlier this month during the Paris Olympics. The pair were spotted cheering on the U.S. men’s basketball team at multiple games, as well as taking in the sights of the “City of Love.”

Whitfield and James first attended Team USA’s blowout victory over Brazil on August 6, and were later seen in the stands together alongside Bryce James and Sadie Johnson for the Stars and Stripes nail biting win over Team Serbia on August 8.

Moments after LeBron James secured gold with a 98-87 win over France in the Olympic men’s basketball final, he rushed over to the sideline to share a moment with his family. On the heels of deploying his signature handshakes with his two sons, the 39-year-old high-fived Whitfield and Johnson, who were both donning his No. 6 jersey.

It appears as though the James family continued to celebrate the U.S. winning gold well after the final whistle sounded. Later that night, paparazzi captured Bronny and Bryce walking their respective partners into a private afterparty at L’Avenue restaurant on August 10, along with LeBron’s wife, Savannah.

While a trip to Paris and cheeky Instagram comment all-but verify that James and Whitfield are dating, it’s still unknown how the two met and when they officially got together. According to multiple sources, the latter is a rising sophomore at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.

Whitfield is the daughter of Hollywood producer Salli Richardson-Whitfield and actor Dondré Whitfield. Most recently, her mother served as the director and executive producer for season two of the HBO series “Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty.”

As for James, he’s looking to find his footing in the NBA after the Lakers drafted him with the No. 55 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. The 19-year-old made his Summer League debut last month, and is averaging 8.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and one assist over four games.

Back in May, James shed light on some of the challenges that come with being the son of LeBron – one of the greatest basketball players of all time. “It’s tough,” he conceded during an interview with NBA Central. “A lot of criticism gets thrown my way, but you know, I’ve got to deal with it.

“[My critics] don’t know what I’ve been through… I just try to make the best of [the] opportunities that’s given to me.”
