Taylor Swift has taken the UK by storm with her Eras tour and now she is saying goodbye to London with her last performance on Tuesday. Then Swift will jet off to continue touring in Canada.

Taylor Swift's three-hour gigs might not be 'psychotic' – but admit it, that's a slog | The Independent

She’s a singing superstar so it’s no surprise Swift’s hotly-anticipated performances become a huge talking point over the past two months. As well as the stars who joined her on stage, people talked about the celebrities in the crowd.

From backstage secrets to show-stopping performances, we take a look at the moments that have gone viral from Swift’s UK Eras Tour this summer.

This week it was reported Swift and her mum Andrea showed incredible kindness in hosting Southport stabbing victims behind the scenes on the second London leg of the Eras Tour.

Three young girls were killed in a knife attack at a Swift dance class in Southport, Merseyside in late July. Six-year-old Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe, aged seven, and nine-year-old Alice Dasilva Aguiar lost their lives. Last week saw the funeral for six-year-old Bebe King.

Teenager Axel Rudakubana — now 18, born in Cardiff to Rwandan parents — has been charged with three counts of murder and 10 counts of attempted murder.

Swift did not acknowledge the stabbings on stage, however, behind the scenes she did something even more special. Reports said the singing superstar made the girls dreams come true as she said a friendly hello and posed for photos backstage of her Eras tour with a mum and her two daughters.

Two people who have been supporting Swift from the very beginning are her parents Scott and Andrea, who split in 2011. So it’s no surprise an emotional moment involving them all captured the hearts of the audience.

After performing Champagne Problems on stage in London recently, Swift got an incredible standing ovation from the crowd and then the singer made an emotional admission about her parents who were both watching that night.

“I guarantee my parents were just recording that on their phones,” she said at Wembley Stadium. “So anytime I’m having a very sad or bad day from now on, not only will I play the video in my mind, but I’m gonna revisit that moment a lot. Thank you so much for doing that for us.”

Her dad surprised hungry fans with plates of chicken tenders in a hilarious moment that caught the eye of those attending the concert. One concert-goer captured the moment and shared it on TikTok, writing: “Scott handing out chicken tenders during ‘Style’ somehow made sense.”

There have been some big surprises this summer too. Swift invited her long-time friend Ed Sheeran onto the stage at London’s Wembley Stadium for a duet. They drove fans wild with a mash-up of their early duets Everything Has Changed and End Game as well as performing Sheeran’s hit Thinking Out Loud.

The Speak Now star celebrated their friendship with a sweet introduction. She said: “This is one of my best friends in the world to the point where I feel like he’s a second brother of mine… We toured together on the Red Tour. Every time I am doing the Red part of this show, I think about the memories that we’ve made.”

She added: “And now he is someone who plays Wembley like, every week. This is like, regular for him. And he works so hard, and he’s on tour right now and he’s probably so tired. But he wanted to come and play for you and do this for all of us so give it up for Ed Sheeran.”

At the very start of Swift’s tour, she went viral for the wrong reasons unfortunately. As seen in the video above, the singer shook her hips in a clip shared on social media on TikTok by user @harryalex98. Shaking it off, the superstar wiggled mid-performance in a fringed gold mini dress while on stage at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium.

Among those who mocked the star was Lilly Becker who commented: “Bless her.” It was reported that Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse replied to her comment with laughing emojis. However, Swift didn’t let this faze her as she continued to dazzle fans across the UK.

Taylor Swift is joined on stage by Travis Kelce during The Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium

Another huge talking point of Swift’s tour around the UK was her Lover Travis Kelce, who stole the show at Swift’s Wembley gig in June. The NFL star looked the part as he dressed to impress in a tuxedo and tails.

For the first time, Swift invited her boyfriend to perform on stage together. There were some heart-stopping moments for fans, including when Kelce lifted Swift into his arms and carried her across the stage.

British actor Hugh Grant had a hilarious reaction as he tweeted: “Dear @taylorswift13, You have an incredible show, an amazing and v hospitable team and excellent if gigantic boyfriend (#tequilashots.). Thanks so much from one ageing London boy, wife and thrilled 8 year old #halfgirlhalfbracelet.”

It’s fair to say, we were impressed too!

Backstage, Swift mixed with royalty sparking a flurry of excitement too. She was reunited with Prince William, who she first met 11 years ago at a charity event, as well as his eldest children Princess Charlotte and Prince George.

They all snapped a selfie together – including Swift’s Lover Kelce. Swift shared the special moment with the rest of the world on her Instagram. “Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start @princeandprincessofwales,” she wrote on Instagram.

The royals aren’t the only surprise Swifties. Turns out Tom Cruise is too. The action man showed he was casually cool as he was seen swapping friendship bracelets – made trendy by the singer once again – with fans.

He’s not the only celebrity to cause a stir at the shows. Sir Paul McCartney who is great friends with Swift was also seen dancing and having fun with fans in the crowd.

It’s cruel that the summer has come to an end.
