Draymond Green’s wife, Hazel Renee, is seemingly in agreement with Warriors coach Steve Kerr’s latest claim about her husband. Kerr said that the former Defensive Player of the Year is still one of the best defenders in the world after he limited All-Star Zion Williamson to 5 of 20 shooting on Thursday, leading the Dubs to a 104-89 win.

Green also had five blocks in the game, scoring 14 points on 5 of 11 shots, including 3 of 5 from deep. His wife Hazel couldn’t agree more with Kerr as she reposted the quote from the Warriors’ Instagram on her story, saying:

“1 of 1”

Hazel also commented on the Warriors’ post.

“YOU BETTER KNOW IT!!!” she wrote.

As a primary defender against Zion for over 30 minutes, Draymond limited him to 3 of 12 shooting. Four of his five blocks also came against the former Duke prospect.

It was a crucial performance from the Warriors star, considering they were without Steph Curry and Andrew Wiggins. The defense had to make a difference in this one without their two top scorers and Draymond Green led the way.

Hazel Renee was impressed with Draymond Green and Warriors groundbreaking start to season

Hazel Renee is locked in on husband Draymond Green and the Warriors’ 2024-25 NBA season. She has actively commented on his and the team’s success. Hazel was impressed with how the Dubs started their season. In their first two games, they won by a record 77 points combined, which wasn’t done before in NBA history.

Here’s what Haze Renee said:

“Lots of firsts by any type energy, great start.”

The Warriors entered this season as one of the lottery teams from last year. They failed to make the playoffs after losing in the play-in tournament against the Sacramento Kings. After a long time, the Warriors were considered one of the underdogs entering a new season.

However, major roster tweaks like parting ways with Klay Thompson and getting slightly younger around Steph Curry and Draymond Green have given them a solid start.

The likes of Buddy Hield and Andrew Wiggins have been decisive, too. The Warriors are 4-1 on the season, with two wins coming without Steph Curry against a playoff-caliber opponent like the New Orleans Pelicans.
