Edmonton had one of their best runs in the NHL playoffs in years. From Connor McDavid breaking Wayne Gretzky’s playoff assist record to coming back in the finals for Game 7 with multiple injured players, the Oilers are one of the hottest teams coming into the next few seasons for the Stanley Cup.
“The new record holder for most assists in a single #StanleyCup Playoffs in NHL history.

Connor McDavid.”

However, with the trading season underway, many fans have grown concerned about Evander Kane’s future in Edmonton. Kane was one of the most impacted Oilers injury-wise and had trouble meshing with his teammates.

– Connor McDavid / (Suspected Abdominal Issue)”

Yet, it seems these concerns weren’t enough to cause commotion for the veteran forward. According to the findings of Two Mutts Hockey Podcast, Kane has full intentions to stay in Edmonton, sharing he is willing to exercise his no-move clause. Additionally, he should be on the ice and healed up for September training.
“Based on reports we’ve gotten over the last 48 hours @EdmontonOilers forward @evanderkane should be fully recovered & healthy by September when training camp opens up.

Kane has been able to do some activities, he’s been golfing with his friends in Edmonton & enjoying life as he should be. He’s also built a new home in Edmonton & the community has treated him very well as he’s also treated the community well in return. It’s been a great fit for both sides. He wants to be apart of this winning culture, he’s been adding to it since be got to Edmonton.

The health is the most serious thing here, it sounds like it’s been getting better for Kane. Which is a huge positive.”

With Evander Kane getting back to full health and demonstrating a clear dedication to the team, the Edmonton Oilers are sure to be a force to be reckoned with this upcoming season. Whether or not it will be enough to take home the Stanley Cup, only time will tell.
