New Jersey Devils fans unpleased with organizational decision on head coach
The New Jersey Devils officially announced today that they’ve found their new assistant coach, and it is a former member of the Blackhawks who is not very well liked.
The Devils have named Jeremy Colliton as their assistant coach, who will join former Toronto Maple Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe in their revamped bench come next season.
The announcement was made by President/General Manager Tom Fitzgerald.
Colliton’s recent stint was with the Vancouver Canucks’ AHL affiliate, the Abbotsford Canucks, where he went 40-25-7, leading them to the Calder Cup Playoffs.
He was also appointed to head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks following controversy with Joel Quenneville, Colliton served as the youngest coach in the NHL for the Blackhawks throughout the years of 2018-2022.
