Ed Sheeran has finally confirmed what we all suspected – hit single Don’t IS about Niall Horan getting frisky with his once-girlfriend Ellie Goulding behind Ed’s back.

But on a brighter note, the flame-haired singing sensation is totally over all of the anger he felt towards the One Direction heartthrob back then.

Ed released savage single Don’t in April this year amid speculation it was an autobiographical offering documenting a messy break-up with a famous ex.

With lyrics such as ‘I never saw him as a threat, ’Til you disappeared with him to have ѕєχ’, and ‘you were looking for a lover to BURN,’ it was soon rumoured to be about Ellie and Ed.

But when asked if he’d forgiven the Irish jigger, Ed admitted: ‘I guess. I got over the anger the moment I wrote the song.’

Ed, 23, revealed he’s actually happy he managed to get the No.1 track out of the whole situation, adding: ‘That’s the end of it. I’m grateful I could get a song out of it, to be honest.’

But does he remember what happened every time he performs Don’t to a crowd? Luckily not.

‘I don’t feel it’s about anyone any more, I’m not attached to that. The moment you attach someone to a song it becomes more difficult to sing every night,’ Ed added.

Ed made it crystal clear he’s not holding a grudge towards Niall after the pair were pictured partying together in Las Vegas earlier this month.
