The Chicago Blackhawks are a historic NHL franchise, being one of the Original Six teams in the league. When people mention the NHL, they are a topic, as a huge hockey city, with a massive fanbase, multiple championships, and famous athletes, like Patrick Kane associated with the team.

While it will be quite some time before the on-ice product is competitive again, the team itself is one of the highest-valued NHL teams. They’re ranked fourth in valuation a $1.84 Billion, just behind the Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, and Montreal Canadiens.

The Hawks ranked against their cousins in the other major sports leagues in America, ranked 83rd overall in valuation rankings. Given how popular, the MLB, MLS, NFL, and NBA are it’s a no-brainer why they’re 83rd.

In total value though, they’re ranked far behind the NBA’s expansion team, the New Orleans Pelicans, who are valued at $2.72 Billion, ranked 30th in the NBA. Whereas the Toronto Maple Leafs, valued at $2.62 Billion, just shy of the
Pelicans.

When the Blackhawks do hit $2 Billion, the team could be sold at a larger valuation of the recently sold Tampa Bay Lightning. Given Bedard’s arrival in Chicago, the team’s value isn’t decided just yet, as he has more to give the team and the city.
