Angel Reese recalled one time a presumable Chicago Sky fan called her out for not giving them an autograph. During Thursday’s edition of her podcast, the young forward talked about how sometimes having a busy schedule can get her in trouble with fans.

She said that one time somebody said Caitlin Clark was better than her after she couldn’t get them something signed.

“Sometimes I be busy, like I can’t sign everything. One man was like, ‘That’s why you’re not Rookie of the Year and that white girl is better than me,’ and I’m like, ‘Ok, you wanted me to sign your thing and now you don’t like me no more.’ People be so mad and they’d be like, ‘I be wanting to take a picture with you,’ but baby I can. You’re obligated to take the picture,” she said.

Angel Reese’s popularity reached new heights once she made it to the WNBA as the No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 draft. She revealed she received death threats and was followed by some fans at home, allegedly due to her supposed rivalry with Caitlin Clark.

Others take less aggressive shots at her but still find a way to bring up Clark in their conversation. But Reese is seemingly learning to laugh all of that off.

Fans mad after Angel Reese revealed how much she pays for rent

The fans waiting to get her autograph or to take a picture with her aren’t the only ones upset with Angel Reese. After she said she paid $8,000 in rent, plenty of fans criticized her for her financial decisions on Wednesday, urging her to make better choices about the place she lives in.

“Hating pays my bills, baby. I just hope you know the WNBA don’t pay my bills at all. I don’t even think that pays one of my bills. Literally, I’m trying to think of my rent for where I stay at [in Chicago]. I’m gonna do the math real quick. I don’t even know my [WNBA] salary,” she said.

“No, my rent is more than that! It’s $8,000. I’m living beyond my means,” Reese said.

Angel Reese signed a contract that pays her $73,439 per season while her rent would be $96,000 annually. She has more sources of income than her NBA salary, which allows her to live better than most people. Then again, fans didn’t miss the chance to criticize her.
