The Chicago Blackhawks entered this draft with high hopes and determined to make the team better, and general manager Kyle Davidson did that when he drafted future Blackhawks center Sacha Boisvert.

The 18-year-old who is from Trois Riveries Quebec stands at six foot to 183 lbs. He played for the Muskegon lumberjacks of the USHL.

According to eliteprospects.com he has a powerful shot and a great wrister that will help the team score many goals in the future.

He played 61 games last year, scoring 36 goals with 32 assists for 68 points. This draft prospect will enhance the rebuild of the Blackhawks has the team seeks help down the middle after Connor Bedard. The organization continues to develop and build its prospect pool including players like Lukas Reichel, Kevin Korchinski, Sam Rinzel and now defenseman Artyom Levshunov.

General manager Kyle Davidson is expected to be busier than normal during the unrestricted free agency as he is willing to spend some of his cap space to find better players to help the Blackhawks now.

The organization will need to be mindful of all of these young stars that they are drafting and that in the next few years they’re going to make sure they have enough cap space to cover the rising costs and not lose them for nothing.
