“It should have been an instant lifetime ban from all MLB stadiums” – Max Muncy on fan behavior after Mookie Betts’ near injury”
Dodgers infielder Max Muncy has called for stricter consequences for inappropriate fan behavior after a near-injury incident involving teammate Mookie Betts.
During a recent game, a fan reached over the wall, almost causing serious harm to Betts. Reflecting on the incident, Muncy emphasized how dangerous it could have been:
“Thankfully Mookie didn’t get hurt. You’re talking about your arm hanging over the wall… very easy to get hyper-extended or snap something.”

Muncy argued that the fan should have received a lifetime ban from all MLB stadiums, criticizing the lenient punishment.
He believes a harsher consequence would deter future incidents, adding that true baseball fans would think twice before acting recklessly.
