Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner has banned numerous important media outlets at recent charity event.

It has been an eventful summer filled with trade rumors for Mitch Marner as his playing days in Toronto have been rumored to be over. In a recent charity event, it was reported that Mitch Marner has banned media outlets such as TSN and Sportsnet from attending, while inviting other journalists, however there questions had to be charity based only.
Local news stations were granted interviews on Friday, when the on-ice activities were held, with the understanding that they would keep the questions about the event. Both major sports networks (TSN and Sportsnet) were told not to attend.
Mitch Marner is doing media rounds for his Marner Assist Foundation today, a great charity now in its 6th year.

This year, though, has been quite different as far as interviews go. No #Leafs questions permitted.

Here is the interview he did with CTV this hour.

It is fair for Marner to set the following boundary, as the event is not hockey related, and given it is his event, he shall do what he wants.
