Anthony Edwards Teams Up with Idol Kevin Durant in Olympic Victory
Team USA men’s basketball kicked off their Paris Olympics opener against Nikola Jokic’s team, Serbia. The star-studded roster, including 12 NBA stars, had a great start, winning their first by defeating Serbia 110-84 on Sunday.
The game led Anthony Edwards to play with his idol Kevin Durant for the first time in the Olympics because Durant missed tune-up games for a calf injury.
Durant had a wonderful game coming from the injury, scoring 21 points in the win. After having a chance to play with his idol, Edwards scored 11 points in 19 minutes coming off the bench.
Team USA men’s basketball will now face South Sudan on July 31 at 3 p.m. ET in the ongoing Paris Olympics. It will be interesting to see how they perform in the upcoming games.
