Apart from being one of the best sluggers in baseball, Giancarlo Stanton is also a kind human being. Stanton seems to be enjoying his offseason meeting kids in Puerto Rico at MLB’s Play Ball Clinic. The Yankees star met 150 kids, many of whom were Yankees fans.
One young Yankee fan took Stanton by shock, asking him if he was sad that Juan Soto was on the Mets. In return, Big G comforted the kid by saying, “We’ll be alright.” Here’s how the conversation unfolded.
“Are you sad that Soto is on the Mets?” asked the young fan.
“You’d wish he was with us? Are you sad that he’s with the Mets? A little bit huh? We’ll be alright, we’ll be alright,” Stanton assured.

Giancarlo Stanton gave the kids an unforgettable moment in Puerto Rico. Stanton spent nearly an hour and a half teaching the kids some skills. The Kids learned a few things: throwing, catching, slugging, hitting a tee, baserunning, and more.
The kids were lucky to meet and spend time with the Yankees star. Stanton also signed autographs on hats and T-shirts. The MLB Development Program’s assistant director said these were unforgettable moments for kids.
Stanton was one of those Yankees stars who wished Juan Soto was back in the Bronx. The Yankees have been busy adding players to their team and are now rumored to be pursuing Anthony Santander.
