Ricky Reyes and Renee Salud Share Views on Marriage and Equality Bill on “Toni Talks”

“Let’s Not Change What’s Already Defined” – On Marriage

“If the concern is more about legalities—like how to divide property—there are ways to address that without needing to pursue full marriage. You can simply agree to become life partners and set terms that work for both of you,” he explained.

“Marriage is between a man and a woman. That’s how it was created. Let’s not change what has already been established by nature and faith. Going beyond that is no longer right,” he said.

Earlier this year, Senator Risa Hontiveros appeared on the same show and expressed disappointment that the SOGIE Bill continues to face so much resistance.

“It saddens me that this bill remains controversial,” she said in the interview. “It doesn’t ask for anything new or special—just equal treatment for all, regardless of our identities.”
