Chart-topper Ed Sheeran has visited British Forces Cyprus at Dhekelia Garrison, spending time with service personnel and their families.
The visit, organised by the British Forces Foundation (BFF), took place during Sheeran’s stop in Cyprus for the final shows of his Mathematics tour.
The chart-topping artist made time to engage with the troops, signing autographs, taking selfies, and chatting with soldiers and their loved ones.
“It was an absolute privilege to host Ed and have him here spending time with the fantastic people who make up British Forces Cyprus,” said Commanding Officer 1Rifles, Lieutenant Colonel Colin Oliver.
“These men and women sacrifice a lot, and we’re hugely grateful to Ed and the British Forces Foundation team for making the time to visit British Forces Cyprus.”

The Galway Girl singer performed some of his most-loved hits, creating a memorable afternoon for those stationed at Dhekelia.
“For Ed to give his time and exceptional talent for four hours between two shows and very busy schedule was an extraordinary gesture that made an incredible impact – he’s the best,” said BFF director Mark Cann.
Excited families and soldiers echoed the sentiment, with one attendee stating, “How lucky are we! I can’t believe it. It means a lot that someone like him would take time to come and support us. We love you, Ed.”
After spending the afternoon with the troops, Sheeran went on to perform his sold-out final show at Larnaca’s Land of Tomorrow venue.
