Following the disappointing end to the Lakers’ season in the first round of the playoffs, LeBron James had ample time to devote to his family and friends. LeBron was seen dancing at a club with his wife, vibing on the LA roads while driving, and attending son Bronny’s NBA Draft Combine sessions as there’s still time before action tips off again at the Paris Olympics.
One of his old friends, Kevin Hart, recently had a hilarious interaction with the Lakers star, which sent Kai Cenat and Druski into a frenzy, along with 650k livestream viewers.
The comedian joined Kai Cenat and Druski in a livestream, during which Hart decided to FaceTime LeBron. To the streaming duo’s surprise, LeBron answered the call and waved at the viewers.
Kevin Hart was up to his usual shenanigans as he asked LeBron when he would play again. The 20-time NBA All-Star replied, “They haven’t sent me the schedule yet,” which prompted Druski to ask if LeBron was going to play in the NBA Finals. Getting along with the comedy, LeBron finished off by saying that he’ll feature in game 8.
Kevin Hart and LeBron James have been friends for well over a decade, and thanks to their relationship, the Hollywood actor tried multiple times to recruit him for his favorite team, the Sixers.
Kevin Hart Tried to Recruit LeBron James for Sixers
Following the playoffs, LeBron kept everyone on a cliffhanger regarding his future with the Lakers. While many believe Bronny’s NBA Draft might factor in his decision, others have firmly backed LeBron to stay with the Western Conference side. Amid the rumors, the Sixers are being linked to the 4-time NBA Champion and this is not the first time.
A few years ago, LeBron James was offered to join the 76ers by Kevin Hart, who is a die-hard fan of the Philly franchise. During an interview with TMZ, Hart revealed that he mailed Bron to join the Sixers, but LeBron’s answer was “Kiss my a**.”
That might be in the realm of comedy, but according to Keith Pompey of Philadelphia Inquisitor, the Sixers have a shortlist of 4 NBA stars who they’re actively looking to line up next to Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.
The shortlist consists of LeBron James, Jimmy Butler, Brandon Ingram, and Paul George. LeBron has a player option in his contract going into next season, and he may choose to opt-out and hit free agency. The Sixers have significant cap space left, but the rumored new contract for Maxey can concede a considerable chunk of that.
There are no firm indications of LeBron’s next move as he awaits the Summer Olympics before making a final decision about his future.
