Taylor Swift expressed her gratitude to Amsterdam for the unforgettable three nights of her “er’s Tour,” marking a special moment by performing “Mary’s Song” for the first time in 16 years, dedicated to her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
Wrapping up her Amsterdam tour dates on July 6th, the 34-year-old singer took to Instagram to thank her fans who filled the venue and sang along passionately throughout the performances.
“Thank you to everyone who came to those shows, sang your hearts out, and danced all night with us. See you soon, Zurich!” Taylor captioned her post, which included snapshots from her July 4th, 5th, and 6th concerts.
Travis Kelce, 34, attended two of Taylor’s shows in Amsterdam, adding to the excitement among fans. During one of the performances, Taylor surprised everyone by performing “Mary’s Song” live for the first time since 2008. The song, part of Taylor’s debut album released in 2006, resonated deeply, especially with Travis, who was visibly moved during the heartfelt rendition. The Grammy-winning artist concluded the song with a touching lyric: “I’ll be 87, you’ll be 89, I’ll still look at you like the stars that shine in the sky.”
The significance of this lyric is amplified by the fact that both Taylor and Travis were born in 1989, and Travis’s football jersey number is 87. Travis has been accompanying Taylor on her “er’s Tour,” attending shows not only in Amsterdam but also in London and Dublin. His presence in Amsterdam was confirmed when Taylor performed “Karma,” a song she typically dedicates to Travis when he is in the audience.
Taylor and Travis delighted Dutch fans by leaving the stage together hand in hand on the final night of her Amsterdam shows. The couple’s appearance after the concert sparked excitement among waiting fans, who cheered as they walked out together, with Travis visibly showing his support and affection for Taylor.
As Taylor prepares to bring her tour to Zurich, Switzerland, for shows on July 9th and 10th, she continues to bask in the adoration of her international fan base, while Travis remains by her side, supporting her every step of the way.
