Fans have been sleuthing ever since pop superstar Taylor was linked to NFL player Travis, both 33, earlier this month.

They appeared to confirm the dating rumours last weekend when the Blank Space singer watched Travis play during a Kansas City Chiefs game and was pictured cheering in the stands alongside his mother. 

It comes months after Taylor’s split from The 1975 rocker Matt Healy, and more than a year since Travis’ longtime relationship with presenter Kayla Nicole came to an end.

Some who have discovered Travis and Kayla’s relationship for the first time have compared her to Taylor – but others were keen to remind them that they are two different women.

‘One thing y’all NOT gonna do is come for my sis, Kayla Nicole,’ one peacemaker tweeted.

They added: ‘She don’t give a damn about what travis kelce or swift doing. They’ve been over for a long time & both have moved on. No one is an “upgrade” or “downgrade” they wanted different lives & parted ways to get it. BYE.’

So who is Kayla and what happened between her and Travis?

Who is Kayla Nicole? 

Kayla, 31, is a sports broadcast journalist who graduated from Pepperdine University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree.

She soon began working for outlets such as ESPN and Barstool Sports and has reported courtside on the NBA and sidelines for the NFL.

She’s also worked covering entertainment news with past interviews including Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler, and Sterling K Brown.

When she’s not giving sports fans the rundown, Kayla can be found modelling on her social media and has become an ambassador for brands such as Savage x Fenty, Revolve, and Crocs.

She also runs a fitness brand called Strong Is Sexy.

When did Travis Kelce and Kayla Nicole date? 

After ‘flirting’ in their Instagram DMs, Travis and Kelce officially began dating in 2017.

Their relationship was on and off over the five years they dated; the former couple first split in August 2020 after Kayla deleted photos of him from her Instagram account.

Travis was accused of cheating on his girlfriend with a ‘Becky’ which he vehemently denied in a tweet, saying: ‘This is fake news… a lie… and not why Kayla and I broke up. Take all your hatred somewhere else please.’

They got back together months later and Travis confirmed the reconciliation by describing Kayla as his ‘girlfriend’ and saying online: ‘She’s the best. She’s the absolute best.’

However, the reunion didn’t last and Travis and Kayla split in May 2022.

At the time, Barstool Sports claimed the reason for their split was that Travis forced Kayla to pay for ‘half of everything’ during their relationship.

The rumours were fuelled when Kayla hopped on IG Live to ask how women are affording ‘designer, diamonds, G Wagons’ when she’s shopping at high street brand Zara.

Fans then wondered why NFL player Travis – worth an estimated $30million (£24.7million) – wasn’t showering her with expensive gifts.

However, Travis blasted the rumours that their relationship broke down because of his frugal ways, telling The Pivot Podcast: ‘Don’t buy into that s**t. I would never say that I was supported [financially], she had a very financially stable life in what she was doing in her career but, you’ve gotta be crazy if you think I never helped or gave her a couple of dollars or grabbed some food or she gave me some money or grabbed me some food.

‘We were in a relationship for five years. $100 here and $100 there wasn’t even thought about, which was ridiculous.’

Clearly, Travis doesn’t mind splashing the cash as he and new girlfriend Taylor are said to have paid for everyone’s meals at a restaurant so they could eat privately.
