Last night, sad news hit the hockey world and unfortunately it appears that there’s two pieces of sad news.

Game canceled following tragic convulsing scene on the ice in the QMJHL  with Justin Blais

Friday night New York Islanders defensemen Mike Reilly landed head first into the ice and was victim of a scary scene, following a hit from Buffalo Sabres forward Jordan Greenway.

An incident just as disturbing occured in the QMJHL between the Baie-Comeau Drakkar and the Gatineau Olympiques.

Our thoughts, prayers and best wishes go out to player Justin Blais and his friends, family and loved ones.

Justin Blais left the game on a stretcher, and the league decided to cancel the game due to the tragic scene.
