During an episode of ‘Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson’ podcast, actress Rosie Perez recalled the hilarious story of Mike Tyson and a gunman in a nightclub.
The now resurfaced episode was one of nostalgia, covering topics like growing up in the hood, street fights, Evander Holyfield’s ear, and a shocking incident where a man pointed a gun at Perez’s sister.
“Do you remember that time we was in the club and this guy pulled a gun out on my sister, Sally?” Perez asked intently, detailing the chaotic scene.”I didn’t know what to do! Everybody was freaking out!”

Perez, 59, then explained that she went upstairs to get Tyson, 57, saying “Look down there! The guy pulled a gun on my sister ‘cuz she wouldn’t dance with him!”
She described Tyson’s reaction as calm and collected, responding with a simple, “Let me go talk to him.”
She went on to describe how the boxer approached the gunman, casually lowered the man’s gun, and completely disarmed the entire situation with a simple, “C’mon.”
In other “Iron Mike” news, he is set to step in the ring again in a highly-anticipated fight with YouTube sensation Jake Paul — and he’s “scared to death.” Tyson has been open in the past about the fear of his own strength and growing up with anger.
The former heavyweight champion sat with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, saying, “Anything I’m afraid of, I confront it.”
“Like right now, I’m scared to death,” he said. “But as the fight gets closer, the less nervous I become because it’s reality. And in reality, I’m invincible.”

Paul, 27, started his boxing career in August 2018, transitioning from social media star to boxer with his first match against Deji Olatunji — who he beat by technical knockout.
Although he’s formerly known for his YouTube antics, as it stands he has agreeably respectable stats so far in his career, currently 7-1 with 4 KOs. The 57-year-old credits his opponent Paul for coming a “long way” from YouTube.
Tyson, real name Michael Gerard Tyson, is training daily to prepare for the fight with unwavering confidence, expressing to Hannity, 62, that he doesn’t think the Cleveland, Ohio, native is quicker than him, despite his age.
“This guy is going to come and try to hurt me, which I’m accustomed to,” Tyson said. “And he’s going to be greatly mistaken.”
