Ottawa Senators’ Shane Pinto reveals the exact reason why he was suspended 41 games from the NHL
The hockey world experienced a wave of new memes and jokes following the news last NHL season that Ottawa Senators forward Shane Pinto was suspended for a whopping 41-games, the longest suspended fans have noticed in years.
Did he try to rig games, gambled on himself or bet on his own teammates? After recently appearing on a podcast, Shane Pinto has revealed it all.
Shane Pinto confirms on a podcast today the reasoning for his 41 game suspension.
As it was rumoured, while in Canada, he had his friend in the US place bets on his behalf
It appears that Pinto’s betting did not involve the NHL, which is quite interesting considering the lengthy suspension- alongside the NHL’s promotion of gambling on teams jerseys, helmets and more.
