New details have come out about the man who hit Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau with his car on last Thursday.

According to court records, Sean Higgins had several traffic violations, including:

Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Reckless driving
Drinking alcohol in a car

Having an open alcohol container in a vehicle
Improper passing
Making an unsafe lane change

Higgins, who hit the Gaudreau brothers in New Jersey, has a troubling past.

He reportedly ran an alcohol and treatment facility in Pennsylvania, according to Jeff Gould on X.

Higgins was allegedly drinking before getting behind the wheel and was arrested Thursday night. He was charged with two counts of death by auto. In court, he showed no remorse for his actions and seemed more worried about going to jail.

The man accused of causing the death of NHL all-star Johnny Gaudreau and his brother in a suspected drunk driving incident has been revealed to be a US army veteran.
