LA Lakers superstar LeBron James‘ latest collaboration with Philippine basketball concept shop TITAN 22 is set for global release next month. It is another nod from “King James” to the ever-fervent basketball culture in the Asian nation.
The newly minted Olympic gold medalist took to his Instagram stories on Wednesday to share a post by Bleacher Report Kicks that detailed information about the TITAN x Nike LeBron NXXT Gen AMPD ‘Hope’, which is the fifth collaborative project by James and Nike with TITAN.
The latest shoe has a colorway inspired by sun rays penetrating through gray clouds, giving way to a clear blue sky. Its upper also highlights the asphalt courts commonly seen in the basketball-crazy Philippines, punctuated with clay pot markings that represent makeshift court lines, which can be found on the outsoles. Incorporated in the design as well are silver linings complementing the sunshine yellow midsoles.

James and TITAN started their collaboration back in 2019, with the LeBron 16 Low ‘Agimat.’ It was a fulfillment of a project in the works for years prior.
It is a collaboration that the four-time NBA champion said he is proud to be part of, seeing how it is rooted in sharing common values of inspiring hope through the signature sneaker, something they strive for every time a collaboration comes out.
The TITAN x Nike LeBron NXXT Gen AMPD ‘Hope’ is set for global release on Sept. 1.
LeBron James proud to have been voted Olympic MVP
Prior to having his latest collaboration with TITAN released, LeBron James chalked up another impressive feat in his illustrious career, winning his third Olympic gold medal in Paris while being named tournament MVP.
The 39-year-old LA Lakers superstar led Team USA to a sweep to reach the gold medal game, which culminated in a 98-87 conquest over hosts France.
James finished the tournament with all-around numbers of 14.2 points, 8.5 assists, 6.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 25 minutes of play across six games to earn MVP honors.
He later spoke about the award to Andscape’s Marc J. Spears, highlighting how it was an honor to be recognized with it. James said:
“It’s an honor. I don’t know who the voting committee, or whatever the case may be, but super-humbled that they even voted for me. But it came with us winning gold and that’s what’s more important for me. It’s pretty cool,” James said.
James hinted that Paris was his last Olympic Games and does see not himself taking the floor again for Team USA in 2028, even though it will take place on home soil in Los Angeles.
