Los Angeles Lakers rookie Bronny James is one week away from his expected NBA debut. While James has appeared in NBA Summer League and preseason games, the Lakers begin their regular season on Oct. 22 when he is expected to play alongside his father.
LeBron James re-signed with the Lakers this offseason not long after the franchise drafted his son with the No. 55 pick. ESPN’s Shams Charania reported last week that the Lakers plan to have LeBron and Bronny share the floor together in their regular-season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
“The expectation around the Lakers is that their debut together, the first father-son duo in NBA history to play at the same time in a game, will be as soon as opening night,” Charania said.
Ahead of the highly anticipated NBA debut, Bronny James was featured on the cover of Men’s Health.
“You’ve already heard a lot ABOUT @bronny in the run-up to his rookie season with the @lakers,” Men’s Health captioned its Instagram post. “But you haven’t actually heard FROM Bronny. That changes with this exclusive interview. …”
Both LeBron and Savannah James reacted to the news with posts on their Instagram stories.

The James family is a tight bunch. Having been in the spotlight throughout LeBron’s career, they are entering a new journey with Bronny James drafted by the Lakers.
