Lana Del Rey has sparked speculation of a fall out with close friend Taylor Swift after she struggled to name her favourite song from her new album.

The singer, 38, made her return to the Met Gala after a six-year hiatus and was asked about Swift’s record during a red carpet interview.

While speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she was asked what her favourite track on Swift’s 31-song album, The Tortured Poet’s Department, despite her friend not attending the event ahead of the European leg of her The Eras Tour.

Taking a moment to think before responding, the music star, who was dressed in Alexander McQueen by Seán McGirr, shared: “It’s the one uhh, Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me.

“Whatever that title was.”

While at the event, the Video Games singer also raised eyebrows as she posed with Kim Kardashian after Swift appeared to reignite their long-standing feud with her track, thanK you aIMee.

Additionally, it’s been reported that Del Rey hasn’t been following Swift on Instagram for a few months now, despite going on stage when Swift picked up Album of the Year at the Grammys for Midnights.

The pair, who have known one another for a decade, collaborated on track Snow On The Beach which appeared on the award-winning record released in 2022.

In response to Del Rey’s comment about Swift’s album at the event, many took to social media to share their thoughts, with one claiming the stars are “definitely beefing”.

Another speculated: “Lana hanging out with Kim at the Met gala felt like a diss at Taylor especially after she unfollowed her.”
