Phoenix Suns star forward Kevin Durant was a significant part of the Golden State Warriors dynasty in the late 2010s, winning two championships in three seasons. In a viral video on social media, Durant recently named his “perfect” starting five of active players and shockingly snubbed his former teammate Stephen Curry.

During his recent appearance on the “Boardroom” show, the 35-year-old KD was asked to name his perfect starting five of current players. The Slim Reaper started by picking Dallas Mavericks star guard Luka Doncic, followed by himself and Lakers star LeBron James. The 2014 NBA MVP then picked Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid over Nikola Jokic of the Nuggets due to the Sixers center’s better three-point shooting.

In the end, the 14-time All-Star surprisingly included his former Warriors teammate, Klay Thompson, who plays for the Dallas Mavericks. Durant said, “I’d probably go with Luka (Doncic) at the point. Luka, me, LeBron (James), Embiid at my five because Embiid can shoot the three better than (Nikola Jokic)… Then you gotta go with someone like Klay (Thompson). He’s 6’7″, shooting that thing like that.”
