Hailey and Justin Bieber were absent from the 2024 Met Gala, marking the second year in a row the couple missed the extravaganza.

Their absence comes amidst recent media and fan speculation about Hailey’s potential pregnancy and awaiting to do a major pregnancy reveal at the Met Gala 2024, fueled by paparazzi photos during a lunch outing where she wore a loose-fitting dress, according to a report by the Sun.

However, these pregnancy rumours have since taken a back seat and their absence has the front row.

While there’s no official reason for their absence, it coincides with reports of Justin Bieber facing personal difficulties.

In April, he sparked media and fan concern by posting photos of himself crying.

A source close to the couple spoke to Entertainment Tonight, explaining, “Justin has been facing some difficulties lately. He has been having a hard time and hasn’t been feeling like his usual self.”

The source continued, “Hailey has been doing her best to be there for Justin, but it is upsetting for her to see him struggle. They are doing their best to make things work and be supportive of each other. They are committed to doing whatever it takes to make things better.”

The Biebers had also skipped the 2023 Met Gala, opting for a casual weekend together in Los Angeles instead.

Hailey’s last Met Gala appearance was in 2022, where she attended solo in a white backless Saint Laurent gown with a feathered shawl.

The last they attended together was in 2021,where the couple walked the red carpet together in coordinated black outfits.
