Skenes and Dunne crossed paths on the grounds of LSU when Livvy performed her impeccable floor routines with the Tigers gymnastics team and Skenes had transferred from the Air Force Falcons to play with Tigers baseball in 2022.

Skenes led LSU to its seventh NCAA title in 2023, while Dunne followed suit the next year by helping the gymnastics squad claim their maiden NCAA championship in April.

Olivia Dunne went to commit for a fifth year with the Tigers and also became the highest-earning student athlete due to her mammoth NIL deal with Passes.com. Paul Skenes was the first overall pick in the 2023 MLB draft and made his much-awaited debut with the Pirates in May.

Since his debut game at home in PNC Park, Skenes has been a man on a mission, as he has bewildered the best of the best with his amazing pitching variations. He rushed to a 6-0 record in the first half of the campaign and created history by becoming the first rookie to feature in the Midsummer Classic.

Paul Skenes pitched a scoreless first inning for the NL All-Stars in Arlington, Texas, on July 17. The second half of the season hasn’t been as fruitful, as he’s still looking for a win after taking two losses in four starts since the All-Star break.
