There’s been a major announcement in the NHL today, as not only did major NHL stars make way to new teams, some big names were reinstated today.
Former Chicago Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville, GM Stan Bowman, and Al Macisaac have been reinstated.
The last two years, the three haven’t been able to seek employment in the NHL due to the investigation with the 2010 Stanley Cup team, and the incident with Kyle Beach.

Both Quenneville and Bowman have paid their dues according to Bettman and the NHL, as they acknowledged their response at the time in 2010 was unacceptable for what had occurred.
All three have been working on bettering themselves during their time away from the league, but shown they are remorseful and taken part in activities which show that the are worthy of a leadership role in the NHL once again.
#NHL announces that former #Blackhawks executives Stan Bowman, Joel Quenneville and Al MacIsaac have been reinstated and are now eligible to seek employment in the league again.
Can be hired after July 10.
They will not be able to be hired by any NHL team currently but are free to discuss employment opportunities in the future.
Joel Quenneville compiled a record of 969 wins and 572 losses and 77 ties in his coaching career with the St. Louis Blues, Colorado Avalanche, Chicago Blackhawks and Florida Panthers. He began coaching during the 1996 season and last coached during the 2021 campaign.
